Open Solutions for Health LTD (OS4H) was built on the vision of the late national epidemiologist and ambassador-at-large, Dr. Paul Ricketts, “to make high quality data and information available to those who need it, where they need it, and when they need it in a sustainable manner.”
Open Solutions For Health (OS4H) is an Integrated Systems for Health collaborator and Implementer specializing in providing enterprise support for free and open-source systems (FOSS) as a cost mitigating strategy to meet the financial constraints to our clients while delivering robust solutions. We customize Small, Mid-range and Large open source health applications for Ministries of Health, Medical councils, Medical doctor practice’s, Health groups and Hospitals within the Caribbean market.

Peter Ricketts, CEO
Mr. Peter Ricketts, co-founded the company and in July 2019 and is responsible for strategic planning. He holds a Degree in Computer and Information Systems Security from DeVry University in Orlando, USA. Mr. Ricketts has over 10 years of experience in the implementation of open source technologies and sits on numerous technical working groups for (IS4H) throughout the Caribbean.
Mahalis Alcendor, CFO
Mahalis Alcendor, co-founded and is responsible for procurement, logistics and product sales. He holds a Degree in Computer Science from the University of Hertfordshire in the UK and has over 6 years experience in implementing systems within the Health domain. He was part of technical working groups delivering Information Systems for Health (IS4H) throughout the Caribbean.
Robert John, CPO
Robert is an IT consultant and Agile Coach with over 20 years’ experience in the design, development, and deployment of technology with a 1st class Honours degree in Business Systems. He possesses a solid track record in creating and leading high-performance teams in the delivery of industry leading technical solutions.
As an adviser trusted by industry and government to guide data driven software development his strategic capacity to focus on the essential means he has often been sought to work on critical projects or to rescue projects in crisis. This has encompassed a diverse range of roles, from Programmer to Program Manager and extended to Caribbean Government and Start up Advisory.
This includes time spent delivering global financial management solutions to organisations such as IBM, JP Morgan, GE Capital, Deutsche Bank, Citigroup, EMI Music and Universal Music. His work with the Dominican government received an official commendation.
